Palm Treo 650 (Palm O/S) - it's "sort of compatible"!

We were using Good Link software to allow Exchange synchronisation which takes over some of the default apps on the Treo (like contacts) so without this it may be easier. However, the below method will likely work irrespective of what software is used on the Treo.

There's an option on the menu "THB Kit" which has a setting for "Auto Wireless Mode" - enable this. With this disabled the Treo seems to turn off Bluetooth until there's a call being made.

To allow numbers to be transferred from the phonebook, need to setup entries as Speed Dial favourites (without needing to assign a speed dial number to the entry). User manual will explain how to setup favourites and then transfer the details from your contacts and edit if necessary. Downside to this is that if the contact details change, the speed dial/favourite will also need to be changed.

Once the speed dials/favourites are setup, connect the phone to the Bluetooth and details should be uploaded from the speed dials/favourites.

O2 XDA mini S seemed to work fine first time, but now the bluetooth conenction drops out 19 times out of 20, about 6/7 seconds from the two first recognising each other, and then fails to re-establish the connection. Will do a search to see if this is something experienced by anyone else, but any comments/observations anyone?

Near Reevo :)
Blackberry 7130V doesn't fully work.

It connects and the phone book gets uploaded, however each time you make/receive a call you have to turn the call volume up as it defaults to 0

Numbers ringing in take 3 or 4 rings before the name/number is displayed on the screen.

No "missed calls / last calls / accepted calls" are stored/listed

hi, just picked up my new leon today with bluetooth. i have a samsung E370. this connects but no phone book.

i have just read this thread and noticed some people say they can make and receive calls if the phone book has not downloaded. do you just use your phone as normal, to answer a call for instance and it comes over the speakers via bluetooth so it is still hands free??

p.s i know nothing about phones, to upgrade the phones software or what ever it is do i just go to the samsung site?

they guy has an e65 he found this app Nokia_810_contacts_sync for the mobile it should work in any series 60 3rd edition, you have to link the phone with the car unlink it without turn off the bt and run the software so the software copies it, this was for an alpine head unit but we can try it in our cars if anyone manage to make it work let us know

Doesn't work for 2nd edition s60 e.g. Nokia 6680 :-(
I've seen posts in the past on this forum where people have said that they can get n73's etc working but they never got back to me.

Good luck + post back if you get something.

Got Leon RefSport on order with blue tooth. Looking to upgrade my phone from Nokia 6280 (allows phone book sync) to a new N95 which doesnt allow phone book sync. Is not having the phone book that big a deal? or should I look to upgrade to something else?
