So what would you guys say are the best front and the best rear wipers??? Heard quite a few different types in this thread...Aero, Fabia, Toureg so what one's should i get??

Cheers!!

I don't know about fronts, but the Fabia wiper is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the standard one, there really is such a difference!

Depends on what looks you like, they are all an improvement over standard. I have Aero conversion front and Fabia rear.

I like those Aero front ones look so much nicer than the standard one's that are on mine (even though mine are a total death hazard when it rains )

Any of you guys have a picture of the Fabia wiper so I can have a look?...how much did you pay for it?

Thanks everyone :happy::happy::happy:

I've just fitted my new set - took 1 minute to get them both on! Let's hope it rains over the weekend and I get to use them properly.

Again £23 from VW but had to wait two days for them to come in. Apparently not a stock item, although they had a leaflet on the Parts desk advertising their merits! Missed opportunity there I think, but that's VW for you.

These conversion blades are the business! The word 'conversion' is not part of the part number, and some dealers may not believe you when you tell them that they fit a seat leon, but they most certainly do. They are a bit fiddly to fit mind you, and the connection is made of a pretty poor plastic, i minaged to break a little corner off fitting mine. They make your arms look odd from inside the car, but thats a small price to pay for the better screen clearing! I enjoy squirting my screen now, as it actually clears it!

For those of you who have bought and gfitted the said part no 1j0998002...
these wipers are not right hand drive. i work for vw and bought thse for my leon btu the aero section fits the other way round. those meaning that aerodynamically they are not doing the job properly
this said they still fit andwork well
Best thing to do is change the blades & arms for golf MK4 types

This is true, i went to my local VW dealer today and they said that these are for left hand drive cars, if u look closely at the wiper there is more of a spoiler on one side than the other, its gunna be the wrong way around on a leon, but as said they will still work. Dont think a wiper will damage the aerodynamics of such sexy leons anyway [B)]

If you go in with Part #'s then you should be able to order them from Seat.

Don't let them fob you off @ 1st base tho...ask them if they would be "good enough" just to check to see if the system can see the p/n before you leave.

I ordered my Audi S3 lower strut brace from Seat, after they assured me they couldn't get it.

Sales-dude was surprised himself it worked, and was fine about ordering it.

Like I said, just go armed with p/n's and you should be fine.

PS - don't think it makes a difference in price tho...

Excellent, I have a new passat(dont worry its only my mon-fri car) that has the same style as standard and they work well, seems like a nice easy mod that has benefits too rather than just fitting them for style.

The other option you have is the retro fit kits from www.wiperblades.co.uk.

Cost about £25 for the Leon, and attach to the standard wiper arms.

I've got a set on mine and they're just as good as the Aero wipers on my mum's Passat...

Depends on the bank balance situ really...

Aero Wiper Conversion not making full contact

Does anyone have a problem/solution with the passenger side aero conversion wiper not making contact with the windscreen surface right at the edge, and therefore not wiping about 3/4cm of rain from the far side?
