Well another small addition fitted the other day.

These were the stiffer 034 Motorsport Gear box linkages.
This seems to have cured my inability to get into 3rd and 4th on heavy deceleration.
These were very very easy to fit with no drilling or duffing needed.
All that was needed to be done was to adjust these to allow all gears to be selected. This took literally 2 minutes.

Also got a Phenolic gasket from ssam today, very very good price and looks the busisness as its approx 1/2" thick and made of nylon like compound.
The reason I bought this was noticed that the injectors seem to be leaking onto the outside of the intake manifold. This will be removed, injectors cleaned and resealed whilst fitting this Phenolic gasket.
This will all be done some time but the outlook is more likely for January/February.
The box of to bits to fit grows week by week.

Well thats the front discs and pads on there way out so new discs and pads it is.

I have contacted Bill (Badger 5) and when he can get the spacers made and the couriers are back up and running the Badger 5 2 piece 330mm light weight discs and alloy bells will be winging there way to me.
TBH this is the mod I've been looking forward to doing most since buying the EBC Ultimax and DS2500 pads.
As far as I'm concerned this set up never really lived up to the hype these were given.
I would have really like to have tried the Brembo discs with the DS2500 pads, I think this would have been better.
BUT
I should have went 2 piece from the start.
IMHO brakes are seriously over looked mod.
The LCR with better handling mods, better pads and discs with a remap would be a very very good car.

So when I fit these I'll paint and laquer the calipers and bleed through the brakes with the RBF600 brke fluid.
I'm planning on bedding in my pads/discs as in this white paper on the subject.

http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedinstock.shtml

Wish me luck!!

TBH fed up of fannying about with a new set up and want the best out of this system ASAP.

All I have to do now is keep an eye in my mirror for potential rear enders:help:

couldn't agree more to be honest. now with the brembo's bedded in, stopping is awesome.

best 3 mods for me are ARB's, coilies and brakes. If Seat had fitted better suspension (not quite as hard as coilies as a standard factory setup) and uprated ARB's, it would have been an excellent car out of the factory door

Cheers for the kind words
I will have pictures of the 2 piece disc fitting and the rest of the jobs from now.
Didn't plan on doing a project build thread so never got pictures up until now.
Also the initial work was done by a garage

TOY's!!

So sitting here like a wee kid waiting for my Badger 5 2 piece discs to be delivered and thought I'd update this thread with some pictures.
I plan to keep my car spec on the first page up to date as I do things.

First of all I've gotten a INA track density (80 durometer) transmission mount which I plan to fit when I get a chance. I wanted to see if this was going to make a big difference. Also see what if any I get additional cabin vibrations. I don't have the balls to fit the engine side (yet) as my car is 99.99% everyday family car. When its less of a family car I'll get the track density engine mount.

Much spoken about these but not many people on here have fitted these. These are the Audi TT roadster LCA rear bushes. These are the stiffest OEM bushes you can get. I have polyflex ones in there just now so will be interesting to see how these feel compared to the poly ones.

INA oil catch can. Since removing my SMIC's I have been wanting to fit one of these. There was a serious amount of oil in my SMIC's. this should allow me to catch this before it gets back into my intake.

Phenolic gasket. Another mod I've been considering for a while. When working on my car I've noticed residue around my injectors. I presume the o rings for these are leaking so will need to be replaced. When I do this i hope to get the injectors cleaned and flow tested. You can see the difference between the OEM gasket and the Phenolic one. This feels like nylon but is Phenolic.

Photos to follow

R32 23mm front ARB. This is supposed to give the LCR/Skoda Octavia the best feel and balance (coupled with the 28mm Neuspeed rear ARB I have fitted already.). Tis is cheaper than the aftermarket ones but does the same job.

Window screens. I've been using the Boots cats faces for too long now, there is a company that have made fitted ones for the MK1 Leon. I have these fitted and there great. The only issue I have with these is that they are difficult to see through if your looking through them at an angle. They look great and hopefully will do the job in stopping the wee man getting blinded in the summer. You can have the window open with these fitted with no problems.

I should have went 2 piece last time. The first purchase is the expensive one, after that its just the rotors, pads and screws you need.
I hope the stopping power is awesome, I'll do a quick write up about them tomorrow once there bedded in.
