OK so id like to sticky this to help others:

Here is a little list of parts that will fit/with minor mods to make em fit.

Wheels: MK3 cupra wheels Fit straight on no problems what so ever!! (PCD 4X100 Bore ?? offset ?? )

Exhaust: the MK 3 cupra exhaust fits the trusty ABF powered cars (and agg ??)

Dash board.

Engine 1.8t engine will fit BUT you will need a dashboard and it takes alot of work! (martin M and roly have em!)

VR6 again Hard work to fit BUT it will go in!(see toby seatboy build thread)

Cupra Brakes Will also Fit As will "R" brakes BUT you will need minimum 16" wheels

Interior will also fit out of the MK3 cupra.

MK3 strut braces also fit.

as do the roll cages im told!!!

Coilovers! I am not sure on would need clarifying

Also the whole front end will fit! you will need wings/lights/bonnet/bumper etc but it will fit

steering wheel fits spot on

ANY OTHERS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CORRECT AND ADD!

Pete, you are aware that although we know the mk2 as early to late being the pre face lift and the face lift.. on the continent, the mk3 is only really known as the mk2 'face lift' in reality..??
so yep theres lots of bits and bobs that will ship over from model to model quite easily.

Coilies don't

Front end needs a custom rad bracket IIRC

Centre console fits

You do not need the mk3 dash? Pretty sure ibiza 95 (ben) doesn't have it?

Mk3 interior does

and no point writing wheel list, as it will be endless
you need 4x100, 57.1mm centre bore, then widths/offsets need to be worked out

or get adapters :p lol

if you get the mk3 slam panel then the rad will NOT need brackets making ;)

you need mk3 slam panel to match bumper up but it does depend on the rad and some luck for a perfect mk2 rad fitting - not hard top add/change one bracket though

rear end panels are bolt on BUT you need the mk3 lamp panels/corners welded in to match the angles and lights so a rear end conversion is possible albeit a pain

Should fit it's the same part number for a 1998 mk2 and a 2000 mk3. Note cupras/tdi's etc have a stiffer rear beam than the 1.4's.

different width bushes and chassis mounts were wider iirc from last i heard someone trying but know of a mk3 cupra beam and shell if anyone wants a measure and check?

dont rely on the chassis changes you see in etka/vagcat as that's for the vario only mind

ibiza 2 finished roughly 7/99 = chassis upto X_399_999
ibiza 3 started 02/99 = chassis X_400_000 onwards

there's a 5 month x-over mk2/mk3 hatch probably for pre-orders+testing possibly i would guess

in the middle of all this Vario beam changed 04/99 = chassis 290_001>> (vario)

the later mk3 Vario shape started production 3 months before the hatch and whilst the mk2 hatch was still being produced hence why it lists what appears to be a later chassis (vario)mk2 beam that is the same as the mk3 when it is in fact a mk3 beam as its for the mk3 Vario :)
