Why wouldn't you just go whole hog and go for the 2.5 Bi-Turbo and running gear from the TT-RS?

It fits in the A1 and would give you just under 500BHP and 4wd.

Which would be ****ing nuts, could you imagine the fun!

Not many cars with engines disintegrating like this either, apart from the vxr that is

Bit ott, the engines are fine, many have them without issue.

I've been on here a bit and the ones that fail are due to fuses and minor parts which is teething problems for what is a completely new engine.

The only ones to go completely are very rare.

It wont fit without huge amount of work the A1 at worthersee had very extensive work done to get the engine in there with the running gear!

There would be no point for the price of conversion you could buya TT-RS and tune the bollocks off it.

ECU would be the major issue due to the way the smart canbus is setup.
