Can't think who that might be. ;)

As there doesn't seem to be much enthusiam to try and convoy in, are we agreed that the Barmy Army and any other SCN enthusiats will try and rendezvous in Woodcote B stand by 9.30am and failing that in one of the Luffield ones?

Our director races in the BTCC - Liam Griffin in the Airwaves focus so I have requested tickets already hahahahaha

Did you have Corporate hospitality in the Airwaves team? (So did I but it turned into a disaster and i'm still fuming about it).

I see the Barmy Army are being mentioned on the CBeebies.....sorry, btcc.net forums at the moment.

It's good to see you guys going to all the races. The old forum I used to live on (Motorsport Forums/BTCCPages Forum/call it what you like) used to do that from 2001 for a few years and had so much fun. Lots of camping and Travelodge fun. Met so many nice people (and some not so nice, but that's life) and generally had a good laugh. It honestly made my life a lot better than it could've turned out, if I hadn't done it and met the people I did. I'd have still been hanging about with the wasters I called friends up here! It sort of distracted from the fact that the racing wasn't always that good. But then people grow up and have other things in their lives and can't spend their money on that sort of thing anymore. Hopefully you guys go on for a while yet! :)

I shudder to think how much those first few years cost.......

What happened ovef at Airwaves then re the Corp Hospitality??

I won 2 tickets, booked a hotel for me & my lass, but on Sat was let down by the babysitter who was going to look after our 10yr old son.

I either had to not go and lose my hotel booking, or go and chance it (kids under 16 get in free anyway) so we chanced it.

All seemed well, had a cuppa, and tour of the garage / met James Thompson, then went back to the awning where one of the lasses had a go at me for bringing my son (in front of the other guests).
My lass & son walked out embarrassed, as she told me how it was unacceptable / do you know how much these days cost / if everyone brought another person / they have catering requirements etc.
We felt so bad and unwelcome that we didn't go back.

I asked for their manager to call me but as yet she hasn't.

I've informed the company I won the tickets with and they are looking into it.

I was fuming. It totally spoilt our day. It cost me £200 (fuel / hotel / food etc), and we were so annoyed we left at 2.30pm !!

yeah, my tickets got "lost" some where in the mail. Well pissed off and tbh Liam had a decent 3 sessions on the day so I really wished I was there. Oh well, next season again I guess.........

Oh dear, looks like the people that look after Motorbase's hospitality have scored some real own goals. (May not be Motorbase themselves that organise this, as they have a huge operation at BTCC weekends, running 3 touring cars and maybe 4 or 5 Porsches, and feed a small army of drivers, crew and guests)

However, to say that feeding an extra child was a piss take, is well............a piss take.

I've seen how much food is thrown away after these events

Motorbase' caterers.....SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!
