Door Seals

Hey,

I've Read This Is A Common Issue, I Have Leaky Front Door Seals. Whats Everyone Done To Rectify This?

Im Looking At Going To A Main Dealer To Get It Repaired, Would You Advise This?

Don't go to the main dealer. You can fix it yourself in a few hours for under £20.

As above, and use the longer bolts - only partially screwed-in - to 'hang' the inner door-skin (metal) when replacing its sealant; the longer bolts enable the door-skin to be tilted at a greater angle, which gives more room for manoeuvre and fewer frayed knuckles, and tempers.

took mine to main dealers (evanshalshaw where i purchased from) in january and have only just got it back. car has been left there stripped waiting for parts for 6 months and my interiors are covered in dust. After all this hassle and waiting around when the seals arrived they were door seals and not the ones inbetween the door and metal carrier. So informed them about ordering wrong seals and finally got the right ones on even though its caused me 6months inconvenience. i would suggest the link above as this is how i found out where my leak was and the next time my seals go its defo going to be a DIY job

luckily yes i made them give me one when i gave them the car but ive now got to mot and tax the car also got to give it a good polish as for some reason they've managed to get little spots of tar all over the paintwork

how do you think i feel mate they told me in january theyve ordered the seals and their on back order. what i did not know was that it was door seals that they ordered until they came in few weeks ago
