Hi,
I am looking to purchase a Leon 1.2 TSI and have two options available to me, and I am looking for some advice.

My options are

Seat Leon Stylance 1.4 TSI - 2008 - 55K miles
vs
Seat Leon S(Emocion) 1.4 TSI - 2011 - 55K miles

The second costs £1000 more.
Would the extra £1000 for the 2011 (post 2009 facelift) model be worth it?
and would they both have identical mechanics (Engine etc..)

Any input would be much appriciated.
Thanks

Eh? The second one is the 2011 model...
Both are 1.4s but you say you are after a 1.2?

Yeah 100% go for a new one, I previously had a 2008 and it just felt really old fashioned to me. 2011 will be a lot fresher and more modern so worth every penny if you can afford it.

Edit: thinking about it, might be worth you double checking the 2011 is definitely a TSI. I've got a feeling the S(Emocion) trim you mention was only offered with the entry level 85PS 1.4 which is quite underpowered being 40PS down.

Thanks for all your input. Tried out the 2008 version today, It did feel very dated inside and I will be trying the 2011 version tomorrow.

I think you are on the correct lines, I realised it is a 1.2 TSI Emocion(which exists according to Parkers) but I will be sure to check its a TSI anyway. As its only my second car I dont think the 1.2 will be too underpowered compared to the 1.4 but we will see!
