should I upgrade my fuel pump

Hi, I have a lc180 and want to put a 4 bar fpr and i and wondering if i should upgrade my fuel pump also, if so should I go for a large pump or something more up market

Why do you want to fit a 4bar fpr?

A 4 bar FPR accompanies some mods & remap.

Only use 4 BAR FPR if the mapping is adjusted...You can also use the S3 pump (some modification is needed), which should be rated 4 BAR as replacement for the stock LC180 pump (which should be 3 BAR)

Yes will be getting it mapped I do also have other mods on it was just seeing if I should upgrade the fuel pump also and if so was making sure the lcr would be suitable

I fitted an extra inline pomp (QSP 909) with a 4 BAR FPR when it got mapped, other options are Walbro or Bosch.

Its important that your car can deliver the fuel that is needed to run stage 2 power.

I think you will put more strain on the pump as it can't deliver the 4 BAR.

tired pumps will suffer from higher fpr's

if you can avoid it and get appropriate sized injectors, then that helps the pump

aftermarket in tank pumps we use sytec

AUQ and AMK pump is the same part number 8L0919051H.
So it’s not worth changing you old pump for a used one from an AMK. I can’t see a part number for the BAM engine, but I suspect it will also be the same pump.
The Audi’s also have the same pump, but with a different pick up system for the tank.

Aftermarket as per Bill is the way to go if yours is getting tired.
