Hello there,

Recently my rear brakes (I think) have started making a squealing noise when reversing (Definitely no stones trapped anywhere). It doesn't happen all the time but it is getting more frequent.

During xmas is when I noticed it more and actually recorded a short audio clip on my phone.

If you could/want to hear it, I've uploaded the audio here: https://clyp.it/je4ezzcf

That is me reversing out of my driveway slowly, it squeals lightly but not continuously and then towards the end of the recording, when i press the brakes lightly it just goes really loud.

The discs and pads were replaced around a year ago and I do not cover that many miles a year.. it never made this noise until recently.

Any help appreciated! Thanks.

Mine does this too, although I think the problem with yours is that you just ran over a wookie. I'm just going to take the rears apart and grease everything back up and hope for the best

Had something similar when I had my ocy vrs. Started happening after I had it jet washed. Figured the water must have got somewhere it shouldn't. Only did it when going backwards and braking! Guess that may add up with all the rain we have had.

Ahah yeah, and I thought it was only me!! It doesn't bother me thaaaat much but it gets embarassing sometimes and I thought it could be something going wrong but I guess I might need to grease it all and see if it goes away. The discs and pads seem ok and it only does it when reversing or braking when the car is rolling backwards anyway.. Probably nothing serious.
