What are your future plans with the cupra? More power? More reliabillity? Better power to weight ratio? Have you got 0-100 and 100-200 times?

I got a couple mates here in the netherlands who are building a 6k2 cupra with 450hp atm, and a guy who is building the engine to go into a cordoba 6k2 or polo gti, wil also be more then 300hp. So ik got alot of inspiration.

Nice dyno.

Cheers mate :D

Very nice ibiza 6k2 you got there bro, was reading a couple of pages and think it looks beast. Im new on the forum but i own a 6k2 cupra also, my goals are to get 300+pk and 380nm on stock internals. So i wil take a closer look at what you have done with your car. Keep up the good work!

Errrrm u might find the engine may develop a pretty big hole, ive seen more than one 1.8t bend rods running less power

:lol::rofl:

I plan to track the car a few times this year & find out my handling weak spots & may do the odd drag run to see what times i get but im no a big fan of it. I think 300bhp in a fully stripped ibiza is pretty well balanced but with 450bhp a AWD conversion would do it more justice

With stock engine you can run up to 350HP and 420NM got alot of cupra mates (ibiza 6k2 and cordoba 6k2) they run 300+HP on stock internals. Its the tuner file that is important, let the Torque go in smooth and just dont let it kick in at once. Most of them keep the NM around 380/400 just to be extra safe. And their cars are running for more then 2 years now.

One mate is builing his 6k2 ibiza now up to 450pk i believe but that engine will not be running on stock internals. Like i said you can run up to 350HP and 420NM without opening your engine. And the very top specialist here JD Egineering they know what they are doing. Nobody even come close to them. They have a ibiza 6k2 1.8T with 460HP themselfs, 2 weeks back they finished a Seat Leon mk1 1.8 20vt with over 621HP and 679NM on 3bar boost and ron102.

So reinforce your engine to be running under 350HP and 400NM is not needed. Have a look on their website, you can see that they are proffessionals and not the ghetto tuner around the corner:

Be very careful when gouing over 300 with stock internals.
Been there...snapped rods make big holes and empty bank accounts.
Was running ihi vf34 and 330.
Bang, rattle f@c~. !!
my mk 3 cupra R has now got wisecos and sectioned conrods and 357bhp no problems:think:

Yes i know torque is the main problem to be safe on stock stay at maximum 400NM and make sure the torque dont kick in a once let it go in smooth. Thats the problem, i got 360NM myself but it kicks in hard. My mate is driving a ibiza cupra 6k2 241HP and 412NM. All on stock internals. But you need a good tuner that understands these engines. Here we got JD engineering. But yes it is tricky in the wrong hands.

In a couple weeks i will be running around 255HP and 370/400NM stil have to decide how i will let it remap. I have a sachs stage 1 race clutch and single mass flyweel 6.5KG so it can hold 450nm
