Some of those are a choice. And the choices come with consequences. For many, the benefits outweigh the minuscule risks. Diesels are a real threat to urban pollution, as evidenced by continual failures to meet roadside air cleanliness targets. DPFs are one way to try and minimise their impact. Smoking is the same as removing a DPF... deliberately and knowingly polluting the air around you for others to breathe for a selfish personal benefit.

Yeah because the government really care about our health don't they? Like forcing newborns to be injected with mercury, putting fluoride in the water. They want to reduce world population, so why would they be concerned about our health? All they care about is ways to make money. They know DPF's are designed to fail, so they know people will remove them, and they know they can make money by fining them.

The new MOT regulations will just make it easier to find out who has had it removed, therefore earning them more money.

Research agenda 21, then tell me they care about our health and safety

Why are you actually here? Are you looking for a new tin foil hat brigade to join or something, because you certainly have a lack of comprehension about everything you've voiced so far.

Agenda 21 covers little things like control of pollution, combating poverty, protecting the environment etc. all of which are reasonable expectations in a civilised world, don't you think? Something along the lines of trying to stop people removing their dpfs in an effort to keep air quality as high as possible would apply to that sort of thinking, yet you seem to think our government are somehow trying to reduce our population?

i've just done my due diligence and researched Agenda 21, i couldn't even understand the 'Dummies' versions of it

Maybe if the OP has to refit the DPF in order to comply with MOT regs will he then also have insurance that is in force? pretty sure modifications like that invalidate insurance cover, course maybe he doesn't care about that too.
