LED's are a great alternative. I paid £50 for my set and they fit within the plastic covers on the back of the headlight (Just) so there is no modification required. If you want 100% legal then night breakers are excellent, but only last about 500 hours.
Hi.
No. LEDs are not an MOT failure. HIDs are as were not standard on the car when produced.
I run LEDS on all front lights. Xcellent, what a difference. Transforms night time. I don't get flashed.
High beam is like daylight.
Just deleted all my photos. What bulbs are you using ? Have you any links ?

Can't post pics up as not hosted anywhere and tapatalk is down.
If you look on page 3 of my ride you'll see pic of the brand etc and if you scroll down there's a pic of them lighting up a dark country road too.
They plug straight in, you just need to remove the back of them to get them in the headlight holder.
Yep, it's that easy! Make sure you get fanless. When I asked the MOT tester in November he didn't even know about LED's, but he said any car pre 2012 they would be legal, but I believe the law states they have to be below 2000 lumens so it is a grey area. Never been flashed or stopped with them as they have a perfect light pattern.
