Are ramair induction kits worth the pounds for a Cupra TDi 1.9 ?

Not sure on a diesel but with petrol cars you can actually get a decrease in power unless a heat shield is fitted.

I went for an S2000 filter, about 13 quid , little more noise (although bonnet vent above it) imo after market stuff unless heat shielded not worth it?

Have read several reviews where the real world gains are nil or so little to not justify the cost.

Read that item description and they are not saying any power will be gained, and "heat shield to reduce heat soak" could translate as "this filter will be sucking in loads more hot air than stock so here's a piece of metal to help".

It might sound better if you're ears like that sound, or to advertise your presence.

Intake temp matters after the intercooler. That shield does little except look pretty and support the MAF.
