Hi there, I have a 2015 Seat Leon FR and have the current footwell lights, they are currently white and i was wondering if it was able to change the lights to red to match the door panel lighting and the centre lights shining down on the gear stick area.

Thanks,
Callum.

Yes, you can as I just did in my 2014 FR. I got all the interior halogen bulbs replaced by LEDs and they are all white except the footwell and glove box, which I got in red.

I got this pack:

https://www.ledperf.co.uk/pack-interior-full-led-pure-white-for-seat-leon-3-5f-p-3664.html

You can pick several colors, but I dont know if you can get just the footwell ones, If that´s what you after you can get them easily online, there´s another thread where people talked about this:

I tried a few red led bulbs and they were all a little disappointing. In the end I used a method which another member on here shared...... I used a red Sharpie to colour in the clear light housing and it works superbly! No new bulbs required and a great result

Cheers for help guys, bought them from that website but feel they arent bright enough due to the cover on the lights bringing the strength of the light down, is there a way to buy clear covers?

Did you get from ledperf ? Which colour red ? In my car i had to dimm down, as it was too bright. Did you play with the infotainment settings for the footwell lights?

I bought them from LedPerf and chose just the boot, glovebox and the footwell lights, and i just chose red from the list of colours.

Just check that your footwell lights aren’t already LED, the bulbs I bought were no use.

Tried the sharpie technique and it made them to dark, so I’ve ordered some replacement LED units like these as mine are now covered in red sharpie lol

I have these in my 2018 Cupra - very bright so I ended up covering half the lense with black tape.

Does using a red sharpie result in a true red glow or does it result in pinkish light? I quite like low level ambient light in the footwell - there's more distraction on the media system. I wish you could set that to go to clock standby screen by default rather than have to go through the menu each time.

I'm quite fussy and like things to be just right.... Within reason. I'm totally happy with the Sharpie method after being unhappy with the many led bulbs I tried. Others may not be as happy with the result but I guess that's down to the individual :)
The light given off from mine is certainly red and not atall pink, I did 2 coats because after just 1 it was pinky red.

Has anyone attempted to change the door strip lights? If it’s even possible...
