So the car is fogging up pretty badly , I've checked the carpets , they dont feel damp or wet however the Mrs says it smells damp.
Is it just a case of replacing the door seals one at a time and where do you get them from these days ?

Do the door seals!

Other common point of water ingress is in the passenger side footwell from an incorrectly fitted cabin filter.

So just spent a lovely hour with a pressure washer and spraying parts of the car.......well it beats my day job !!

So no leaks anywhere other than the drivers side foot well, the water appears to be coming from under the dashboard area and then running down the bonnet release handle.

I am also confused by "door" seals there are at least 3 references - Door card, the rubber seal around the door aperture and the little seal that attaches to the back door that the drivers door closes against.

I guess this is going to get expensive real quick if not frustrating !!.

I'm not sure what to try first , as in I don't want to spend money on something if it doesn't need replacing.

Isn't that where the heater matrix lives?

Have a look under the scuttle panel in the engine bay, it's a common place for leaks. Blocked drain holes and incorrectly fitted pollen filters

The fix really isn't expensive just time consuming

For the door leak, remove the door card completely, there's a large metal panel which is bolted to the door, remove the bolts and pull it back, of memory serves correct you can't take it completely off without stripping the door window gear.

Feel around the panel and when you get to the area of the speaker I bet you will find old weathered seal.

Re seal it with the new seal people have said get it's good stuff

Seats are out, carpet is out, underlay is out...de humidifier is running still have to question if all this effort worth it.
I'm going to give it a good try though I guess its not particularly expensive just time consuming , not sure.

I'd say it's worth it with the winter coming up. When mine was leaking, the inside of the windscreen would freeze up and it would take me 10mins a day to de-ice it.

Should the scuttle panel sit flat to the windscreen or even be sealed to the windscreen ?, as it stands its sort of loose and nothing seems to be holding it down.

Im going to have to run without carpets for a bit , but at least it will make cleaning up the leaks easier.

Does anybody have any pictures of the layout of the bits in bobs that live under the scuttle ?, looking for how the drip trays and pollen filter bits fit together.

Mine looked like a frigging swimming pool this morning in the passenger footwell. Seriously, a goldfish could have swam in it. I know it rained hard last night, but that was crazy wet in there!
Getting fed up with the car now. Its time to sell it, or if I'm feeling in a really bad mood at the time I'll scrap it. Be a real shame as the bodywork, including the underside is amazing for the year
