It’s brilliant, can’t fault it, easily keeps up with friends bikes that cost more than twice as much. The only things you need to change are pedals (essential) and ideally tyres, it only takes five minutes to go tubeless on the standard rims too the other bike I would consider at this price point is the slightly more expensive Vitus when it’s on a sale...

Mountain biking helps assuage my need to do track days, so it saves me a fortune. Great fun, lots of opportunity to scare yourself silly and good for you if you except face planting incidents.

Exactly why I do a lot of mountain biking, Since working at Adrian Flux and sitting on my butt all day I put on a fair bit of excess weight, Nothing major but it was nice to shed some weight :')

I do about 2000 miles a year spread between road, canal towpaths and old railway tracks etc. Did some trail riding in Colorado this summer, got the wife to drop me off at the top of Pikes Peak (14115ft or 4302m above sea level ) and flew the twenty miles back down to the toll booths dropping 6000+ ft in about 50 mins, totally mad! Normally though it's Dalby Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors for me.

I mountain bike quite a bit in the better weather, ride road too. My 'bad-ass' mountain bike is a Commencal Meta SL and living Scotland there are lots of fun places to choose from. We go to Glentress a lot but also visit Innerleithen, Carron Valley, Comrie Croft and do a bunch of natural trails too. If you like riding in dirt, Scotland is hard to beat.
