Looking at spraying the rear bumper insert in gloss black. What in your view is a fair price for this?
Just got quoted 150 and seems a lot. Or are these the sort of quotes I should be expecting?

When you say the the bumper insert do you mean the angled shape that fits in the mid section of the bumper panel below the reg plate? On my '14 Cupra 280 it's in matte plastic.

I ask because I'm also interested in doing this, not a fan of the matte plastic look - looks cheap.

Yes.
Now that I've fitted a glossy diffuser it annoys me even more as it stands out

£150 is fair, the part can be a bitch to remove, requires a lot of time to sand down properly with a good plastic primer to applied to make sure the paint adheres nicely and appears smooth.

I paid £150 for mine painted white and the diffuser painted black. But that was cheaper because I was already having the car repaired under an insurance claim for being rear ended.

I did mention while asking for a quote I'd give em the part already removed and would refit myself. But I see it's not as easy as it seems to me. Will ask for a couple more quotes and will decide. Thanks

Other option is to colour code it with the body? Ive thinking about it and it may look good.

Mine is Mystery Blue. That actually looks smart on White.
Thoughts on doing that here? Not sure what my paints official name is. I'd be tempted to either do a colour match or gloss black.

I'll have to have a look at the Reiger one for sure, I don't know much about body kit bits - I was looking at the maxton design splitter diffuser and spoiler extension in carbon fiber

Drove back from North Wales last night on one of the worse set of congested roads ever. 138 miles at an average of only 38mph but did manage to get 66mpg despite much stop start
