I think my previous 290 was set to either every 8k or 10k for oil service. I did a lot of miles though, so it was every 4 months I was changing the oil. And it did make a difference when changing the oil on those intervals. I only use Millers oil, so it is a bit of an expense each time I change, probably close to £80 for oil, filter and sump plug. Only takes about 30mins or so to change. I still use a VAG specialist to do the minor and major services which include the oil changes, but do the other oil changes between the services myself.

Yes mine is 10k / 1 year. The service intervals are set by the dealer according to there thought on your driving mode.

I think you can change this with OBD11/VCDS if the dealer don't want to change it.

Sump plugs are a thing of the past for me now I am pleased to say :)

That sounds far more sensible to me, based on those mileage intervals i would probably be doing a yearly oil change inbetween a 2 yearly service interval

Oh and as an update, the dsg had an oil and filter change july 18 so that looks good.

No sign the diff was done though so that will need to be done pronto.

Pretty much - but we like to get an idea of who's attending before the date :) we are a fairly organised, yet chaotic bunch.

My signature has the links to the national forum meet in July, and the next upcoming meet in Doncaster at the end of April.

Meets are for anyone and everyone. Stock or modified cars, all are welcome.

Just the one photo so far of the car, light isnt the best for views of the front.

Took some pics of the tyres that are currently on the front (avon) and back (blacklion). Not too keen on either, the avons apparently arent too bad but both types have so much tread left i dont really want to change them just yet

Your car looks to have been modified for you. That looks like a Maxton Design Rear Diffuser and Spoiler Cap, You have some wind deflectors is there a spoiler on the front as well

@paddy6789 beat me to it...

With regards to rubber if you are not suffering badly with wheel hop then stay with these till you can afford decent rubber, if its bad then I am afraid you have to control your right foot or buy new rubber.

It is a maxton diffuser, there is a front splitter on there but it is a TRC one.
