I've jus ordered all the maxton design splitters for my leon 290 that's front splitter, rear difuser, side skirts and rear spoiler long wait tho till may 15th

It’s not a retrofit, my car came with it, but I took it out after hitting a pheasant.

It’s probably possible to retrofit, but wouldn’t come cheap. The sensors themselves are hundreds of pounds, and it’s around £400 to calibrate the sensor once fitted. With any new sensor There may be additional software requirements and cabling added too.

Sensor fitted properly and checked with vagcom calibrate itself after motorway drive.
I had similar issue like you after sorted with vagcom fault code came back but clear it and long motorway drive sorted.
Work fine since.

Had an altercation with a curb while attempting to get out of the way of an old dear who took a liking to my side of the road round a bend. Wheel is far from happy and tyres have a chunk taken out.

I’ll go and speak to the tyre place tomorrow but I would prefer not to have to replace my tyre as it’s only a few months old... my suspicion is it will have to go though

Any dash cam footage, could make an insurance claim against their insurance.

That's not looking great, I'd prepare for the worst.

Peeled the splitter apart on my 1 month old car, was not much fun as it had also been glued. It will now be repainted correctly to gloss black rather than body colour.

The tyre is definitely done for.
The wheel has a crack running from the most severe rim abrasion. You need a wheel specialist to look at that, not just a regular tyre shop.
A welded repair may be possible, but it would need to go to someone who really knows what they are doing rather than just a garage that has a TIG welder.

From the 2014 Manual

Charging the battery
Terminals for charging the battery are fitted in the engine compartment.
– Note the warnings ››› in Important safety
warnings for handling a vehicle battery on page 206 and ››› .
– Switch off all electrical devices. Remove the
ignition key.
– Raise the bonnet ››› page 199.
– Open the battery cover.
– Connect the charger clamps as described to the positive pole of the battery (+) and
exclusively to an earth on the bodywork (–).
– Only use a charger which is compatible for use with 12 V nominal voltage batteries.
The charge must not exceed a voltage of 15V.
– Now connect the battery charger to the power socket and switch on.
– After charging the battery: switch off the battery charger and disconnect the power socket cable.
– Finally disconnect the charger cables from the battery.
– Replace the battery cover correctly.
– Close the bonnet ››› page 199.

Important: Before you charge the battery
make sure you read the manufacturer's instructions
for using the battery charger.

WARNING
Never charge a battery that has frozen: replace
battery! Failure to do so may lead to an
explosion.
Note
Use only the terminals in the engine compartment
to charge the battery.

Just need to add that I have added the permanent connection supplied with the Optimate which makes it easier and safer to use on a regular basis.

I'd need to remove the battery and charge at home anyway. Can you see this being an issue?
