For me it was a no brainier to add this to the Cupra R ST order, £500 and warranty safe without effecting tax/insurance. Win.

Are you sure it doesn’t effect insurance...For me it was a no brainier to add this to the Cupra R ST order, £500 and warranty safe without effecting tax/insurance. Win.

Well I’m certainly hoping so
Dealer told me the with or without tune insurance group will be 36 so it should be the same ?
I should find out by the end of the month
Edit: I think the dealer was talking s**te.
Just looked on an insurance comparison site and although they don’t have the R ST on their site yet, the R is listed and it does indeed have 2 options - ‘Standard’ and ‘ABT 370 upgrade’
The normal R didn't get the ABT upgrade, so that's probably the one.Well I’m certainly hoping so

They will of based it on the info given from Seat. Which I said was wrong on the day they launched it. I even messaged a dealer to say they should check it, but got shot down that Seat was right. Like they've never got it wrong before.Yes you are probably right.
Worrying though as it says 370 upgrade when in reality it’s only 350 !!!
I just did a cursory comparison on the 2 different options, Standard and ABT 370 upgrade.
Standard cheapest 3 quotes are £400-500 with MoreThan,Esure & Shelias Wheels.
Then it’s £600 with Bell and £650 with Admiral.
With ABT selected the 3 cheapest above don’t offer a policy.
Bell £620 and Admiral £675.
So ~£20 more to insure with those that will insure the ABT Tune.
Shame the cheapest providers don’t support it however !!!!!
Oh Dealer also recommended to run 98Ron fuel with this pack.
Is that really nessesary ???
The standard car should be run on 98+ RON so yeah.Further to above how this ABT pack works;
Dealer sends diagnostic logs from actual car to Richter Sport.
They programme the module to that cars VIN and send to dealer.
Dealer then fits module.
My logs were sent off today to Richter so all looking good for collection Friday ))
