Don't know! For the bonnet (top) mount you reuse the nut of the hinge fixing and for the car (bottom) mount a new stud is supplied to replace the bolt that you take out. The new stud has the 'ball joint' end on it.
All the fixings are supplied in the kit - worth £38 any day of the week in my book!
Could you please post a picture of the instructions when you have a minute? The inventory bit on the original strut post shows the size of the bolts included but thats for a mk2 so it includes 2xM8 and 2xM6. I need to know the size of the ones for the mk3 as I plan to buy a cheaper kit haha. As you say you re-use the original hinge bolts on the mk3 so its just the front end bolt size I need to worry about.

They have kits cheaper on ebay branded as 'univeral'. I think £40ish for this mod is quite expensive especially when I have other things I want to do, so I'm going to try it on a budget. I'll let you know if it works

OK time to have a go at these FILTHY wheels - don't think they've been cleaned at all in 12 months & 6k, grrrrrrrrrrr.
So off they come:-
If anyone hasn't got one of these plastic coated, long, thin wheel nut socket then I suggest getting one! So handy to put in the end of an impact driver or drill to whip off wheel nuts quickly!
Then on to the cleaning:-
Used this evil stuff, smells to high heaven but by gum it does the job!

Then time for the obligatory:-

I think personally it's the little things that stand out... I like them 3D plates lol I always think 4D as when you go on one of them roller coasters and you get 3D TV but random stuff happens like legs get air blown on them or water sprayed in the air etc the 4D plates don't do that so it's 3D for me haha
What's your plans for the caliper paint as i'll be doing mine soon lol i'm not sure how the brush strokes are going to sit compared to spray which would be an even finish... Maybe 2 thin coats going in different directions... You sanding them first or just painting on top of what you have?

It's 3D for me too! But if you search 3D on eBay it only comes up with the 'pressed' look plates - dumb hey?
I'm going to clean with a caliper cleaner/degreaser (£7ish from eBay) and then mask up like mad & rattle can it on!!
