Yep I'm looking to keep my lcr till it basically dies on me lol but will be putting my money away every pay day so will take my time jus need to know the mods and cost etcForged rods, big turbo and manifold, bigger fuel pump, injectors, clutch, 3" maf, custom tip. The list is massive and involves a lot of work.
You'll also need a big intercooler like the Welly Cooler, 2.5" piping, and a 3" decat with a minimum of 2.5" back
Cheers mate that's really help full and I'm tempted with the hybrid ko4 and rods any more info on thatProbably around £3000-£5000. A good route might be to go hybrid k04 and rods, bit less work and you'll easily crack the 300 bhp mark.
Probably need a better fuel pump, not sure about injectors at that stage, and do clutch if needed.
The better question is what are your goals. What is "stage3" to you? How much power you trying to make? Anything beyond stage 2 you'll need rods. Most people go big turbo after stage 2. Again just need to know your goals
At the moment my car is 225 bhp I dont want to go to stage 1 or 2 as I think there is no point to take it to 280 on a stage 2 I'm looking more over the 300 but I dont want to blow my engine up so I'm trying to do it as safe as possible as I'm looking to keep itThe better question is what are your goals. Cheers mate that does help a lotIf you don't plan on upgrading the turbo the max HP and Tq you will see is 280-290hp and 320-340tq (at the flywheel not WHP). (Note you're at the limits of the stock clutch at this point.
The only thing in my opinion that would allow you to make more power is going E85, then expect to see 320-330hp and 370ish tq.
There is no preset "Stage 3" on stock turbo setups it doesn't really exist. You start maxing out the stock turbo on a well setup "stage 2".
If you go over 300lb/ft tq you NEED rods!
Everything else on the motor is fine unless you're wanting to push 400-550hp.
The safest way to get to your goal without messing with the turbo is this.
Forged rifle drilled rods (400)
Upgraded Exhaust valves (not 100% necessary but being safe so you don't crack one into your pistons.) (200)
Upgraded clutch (400)
All the "Stage 2 upgrades"
Oversized TIP (125)
Cone Filter (40)
Turbo back exhaust (600-800)
FMIC (300-500)
12psi wastegate actuator (or spring mod) (8-110)
470cc injectors (100 Ron) (120)
970-1000cc injectors (E85) (220)
Walbro 225lph inline fuel pump (E85) (120)
Rs4 90mm MAF (100)
NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs (35)
CUSTOM TUNING (BADGER5 / RTECH) (350)
E85 Fuel testing kit (so you make sure you get good fuel)
Total cost 2600-3000 quid
All of this together will make sure you get satisfying numbers on the dyno and extra fun feeling in the pants when you hit the gas.
100 ron 290hp / 330tq
E85 fuel 330hp/ 370tq
Hope this helps mate!
Cheers mate I have been on the phone to badger 5 and have to say they are good people know what they doing and they are mad busy till SeptemberIf you are looking at changing the turbo id suggest a Garrett GT2971
Might be worth checking out Revo's website as they have a hardware requirements section which gives you an idea on what needs to be done.
