Brake Disc Size? - Seat IBIZA mk5 1.2 TSI

Hey guys

Recently bought a 1.2 12v TSI Seat Ibiza 2012 plate. Looking to change brake pads and discs but on Euro car parts have two sizes:

1) 256mm
2) 288mm

I know this has probably been asked and I have looked but it bringing up different models of cars.

Any help appreciated

In my 2014 brochure, all 1.2 (and the 1.4 TOCA) have 256, the fast 1.4's and bigger diesels have 288...
so for a 2012 I don't know - but I would put a tape measure across the existing disc if it was me.

Yeah I know I should just do it that way. But just means doing a job extra of just checking. I hate buying 2 items and doing extra work lol. I'll try the 256mm as I think my friends 2009 1.4 SC was 256mm so surely these wouldn't be bigger.

View the front callipers through the alloys, if you can make out FS 111 cast into the callipers outer face and no vertical anti rattle springs then you have 256mm discs, if there is a vertical anti rattle spring on the outer face of the calliper then they are 288mm discs.

Thanks rum. Yes these have the fs 111 on them so will go for the 256mm calipers. Thanks again
