Just a word of warning to anybody who has bought these for a MY2019 Cupra ST.

They aren’t really an exact swap.

The connection plug on the car is slightly to big to fit into socket on the new led light. It won’t secure into place. It goes in far enough to make contact with the pins, but wiggle it around and the light goes off.
I will secure mine with some electrical tape.

Also the light housing is a slightly different shape and won’t actually snap back into the trim. It’s just slightly to big.
I will have to leave one edge not secured and try and tape it in place and hope it doesn’t fall out when going over bumps.

Complete botch of a job.

Should have just used a Red Sharpie on the original light !!!!

I’ll had a look at doing that but it’s not possible with the new LEDs. The shape too different.

The problem with this new LED is that it doesn’t have a tapered edge at the place where you push/snap it back into place, the original Audi part does. So you can’t actually get it back into the slot.
I may some luck just sanding down some edges in the new LED tbh

Also it’s getting very very Hot !!!

Managed to get them in by sanding a little bit of the plastic down and then adopting a brute force approach.

They don’t quite fit snug in the opening now due to it being damaged by forcing the light in so they rattle about, but that’s solved by a bit of strategic electrical tape.

Anyway now they are in... onto the light itself...

Very bright and VERY Red

were your existing ones LED as the site has a disclaimer saying that they wont fit a Leon 3 with existing LED.

Yes they were. I ordered the eBay ones though

I popped the existing LED before ordering and checked it against there compatibility list.
Existing light is Audi 4E0947415 which is listed as being a straight swap for.

Anyway they are in now after a struggle.
I mixture of brute force, metal file and some electrical tape got them in.

Have to say bar the fitting issues they seem to be very bright... even in daylight !!

Can’t wait to see them tonight.

They appear to be dimmable also as per the ones they replaced which is good as I suspect they will be too bright anything over 50% power

I fitted the lights last night, it was very quick and easy with no brute force required. Granted the connector is slightly different in that you don't get a nice click when your push it together but i felt that the connector was in place enough for no issues.
All that i had to do was to use a metal file and file away some of the clear plastic near to where the sloping metal section meets. Once this is done the unit goes in as the OEM one did and fits snug with a click and without force.
Very impressed with the colour and brightness, i turned the light level of the footwell lights down in the settings menu as they are a bit brighter than the standard white ones. But they look good!!!
