Message for the lowlife that stole the body colour trim from my front bumper in the 30 mins I stopped at Sainsbury's in Chippenham on Friday 30th August if they are on here.

You forgot to check if there was a dashcam recording your actions. I really don't think its worth a criminal record for such a minor item. If you can't afford to run your car and resort to stealing from others then perhaps you should n't have one.

Anyway if you'd like to return it to me, contact via a PM on here, then I won't need to do anything further with the footage.

So annoying. I hate leaving my car anywhere these days. I really hope the person that did it isn't on here. We're all car enthusiasts and want to look after our cars. Therefore I'd hope we all have respect for other peoples.

Yeah I second that but would say put a pic of him up with a blurred out face proving you're not bluffing. Then if no one comes forward, post again unblurred.

I think for incriminating evidence you should be careful with what you do with it... Can I ask you to please not host any images on this forum with regards to this matter to help with guidelines etc that may make it funky lol

In my opinion they should get what they deserve but unfortunately if we could keep it to text only I'd very grateful.

What you do off this forum is obviously up to you and a post on Facebook I've seen work wonders as it spreads fast.

Hope you find them and get your bumper trim back.

Cheers

Dash Can footage should show someone very close to your car and therefore it would be fairly easy to say that they took the part by their actions and where near the car they were seen to be.

There’s a great lack of respect for other people’s property going around.

It would better to let the Police know sooner rather than later. The local Police might even be able to recognise them if they are a regular. If Sainsburys have cameras in their car park it might show the opposite angle on CCTV to that of your dash cam. A person seen on your Dash Cam bending down in front of a car could come up with waffle they were simply doing up a shoe lace and it was coincidence, but if Sainsburys have coverage showing someone was fiddling with the font of your car, in combination with your own footage, it helps show it is beyond coincidence. Plod have a minimum standard and will look into it. Even if they call Sainsburys for you to have the CCTV viewed its better than nothing.

It is frustrating mate. We all work hard and earn money to have nice things and look after them. That's evident from some of the stunning cars on this site. Then some ****hole comes along and simply thinks its ok to just take something from you and all for a £10 part. :censored:
