What's not to like, lighter, better handling (as SC is shorter wheelbase), more rigid body, so quicker too and better looking imo, but everyone is different and that's why we don't all drive the same car.
Better looking is subjective. A lot of people went for 5 door purely on looks just look at the first few pages of who's ordered a Cupra.
You missed the most important part, bigger doors for easy access.

Hate to say this but I'm not a massive fan of the 3 door  .......
All Leons look great, but overall I prefer the 3 door, then the ST and the 5 door last. Not because the 5 door is ugly, far from it, I just think the rear windows look better on the 3 door and ST, where as the 5 door is more like the Mk 2 just without the need for it anymore...

...that is not to say, if I didn't need the boot space of the ST, I'd probably have the Mk 3 Cupra R 310, just not in swirl mark black like @paddy6789

Wouldn't say awful, but they lose their shape. Some people say the same about white.

Its why I'm not a fan of all black wheels in general. Although there is the odd exception.
Loses the “lines” (shape yes), very hard to maintain as they show all swirls, water spots etc. I had a 2013 Ibiza in white and i think it suited it really well, maintained well, but it is a matter of the car with white. Some it really doesn’t suit. I have never and probably never will have a black car as it’s just a nightmare maintaining. I’m not saying I don’t like the look of black cars, I’m saying I don’t like completely “blacked out” cars with bodywork, wheels, tinted windows and blacked out badges I think that looks awful.

I agree that all black wheels do seem to lose the alloy completely at a distance with a big disc behind them... Strange but it's a thing on mine lol I wanted to change mine back to silver.
