Seems dealers don't realise there's a hydraulic diff in the car. My friend had the same issue with his Octavia VRS 230 which also has the VAQ Haldex. His dealer refused to believe that a 2wd car had such a system and ended up having to take it to a VAG specialist to confirm it required servicing. Dealers' knowledge of these cars is worryingly lacking.I just watched this video on the EDIFF service for the GTI performance pack. I think thats the same as the one in our cars.
Has anyone done this service or asked a garage to do it? I asked my local and they said it was not needed...

This is where I'm taking my car after speaking with them. Their knowledge is far superior to Arnold Clark's service team and they have customer relation skills as a bonus. Arnold Clark tried to tell me my car had 310bhp and insisted that a 290bhp didn't exist in MY19, they didn't know about the GPF. Needless to say I won't be using those guys.Mine was done at the dealers (Fife SEAT) at 4 years (20.000 M) as I had only done 15,000 miles at 3 years.

Maybe it's just the guy I've been dealing with throughout my wheel issue and the rest of the service team know a bit more. Fingers crossed for you!Gulp, that is annoying, my older daughter has a 2 or 3 year service plan, and I think that I've got her to confirm that it is a AC's plan not a SEAT plan, so not "portable"! Oh flipping joy!!
Why is the DSG oil so stupidly expensive? £155 for some oil seems rather steep!Hi guys,
Posted in this thread previously trying to get some info as the servicing for the Cupra diffs is hard to come by.
Just got a quote and wondered if anyone could tell me if the price looks good and wether what’s down will cover the servicing for the diff and also dsg whilst I was at it to satisfy the warranty (that states I must maintain the car as per manufacturer instructions)

Well I got a local indi to do it for me, VHub in tewksbury. It cost me 110 pounds which for the peace of mind was well worth it.I just watched this video on the EDIFF service for the GTI performance pack. I think thats the same as the one in our cars.
