Heard a lot of mixed comments about this, whether it's just a toggle in the infotainment or coding thing. I don't particularly want to get into coding on mine as it will be a lease but folding mirrors on lock is a must for me.

also a lease

mine was just a tick box on settings on the car infotainment screen

@jamesc do you have a MY20 ST...with OPF/GPF? What's you thoughts on the exhaust note? Is it super quiet? Noticed any DSG farts yet?

It's a MY20, no real DSG farts as yet, I don't want a super loud car so the noise is fine for that. It's quiet compared to the Focus but that had a deresonated Miltek cat back on it. It's understated, but that's fine for me.

I don’t have maintenance on mine through leasing options but I’m pretty sure tyres are covered within the maintenance if I remember correctly.

They tried to sell it me and I’m pretty sure they mentioned tyres are covered.

Also do you have CCTV at your works car park?

I’d be pissed if someone did that at work especially without leaving a note.

Thanks for the reply, i have sorted it today and it is covered. My lease is provided by ALD (like most) and i spoke to them and they just said go to your local kwik fit and they will do it. So i went today and my car is obviously on file or something on a national database as they just had the reg and said, yeah no problem we can sort that, so they inspected the tyre, said it needed replacing and ordered a new tyre and will fit it tomorrow.

In terms of damage done at work, yeah i was pissed!! - even more so because it was caught on CCTV but they were not allowed to show me the footage or tell me any details about the vehicle that hit me due to Data Protection / GDPR. They would only release it to police or insurance company. Luckily the security staff said they will leave a note on the persons car stating they have CCTV and i would prefer to settle the mattter privately without involving police or insurance. The day after i got an email from a staff member and she apologised for damaging my car and driving off and would like to do whatever she can to resolve the issue. So i just replied saying i would get a quote and email it to her and i want her to pay it. I have the quote now so will email her tomorrow.

It took alot of will power not to give her a piece of my mind about driving off without leaving a note. So hopefully next few weeks it will get sorted without me paying, but it is still inconvieniant having time of work, and losing the car for a day or two.

Ordered August 9th mag grey lux hatch. Still no confirmed build week. I’m without a car now and not likely to get mine until Feb/March earliest.
Have spoken with LO who will refund if I wish to cancel.
Anybody recommend any other cars with similar spec to look at? Want something over 200bhp ideally?

I am the same car and been given 25th confirmed build week. Given its the same car, give CS a ring? Would assume they'd be built on the same run, but there again I ordered July 10th and should have my car now.

They said 3-4 weeks from then which gives Christmas delivery, but with festive periods and other peoples experience, I'd assume late Jan delivery. So earlier than your expectations if that's the case.

In terms of similar cars, nothing comes close at the price tag, in my opinion.

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones then, car ordered through LO on Aug 1st and was delivered this morning. Magnetic Grey standard Cupra. Will take some pics when it's not absolutely filthy!

My saga continues. So Seat CS are now blaming the dealership for my car taking over 6 months and still no end delivery date in sight.

When the dealership were made aware of the Seat CS accusations they are not pleased and have surprisingly put the blame back on Seat.

I’m now considering writing a comedy sketch about my experience of ordering this car as it is more comical than most TV shows!!!

Instead of blaming each other, maybe one of them could just sort it out.

Does anyone know when the next ship is due to arrive in Grimsby, I'm worried that if my car is not out of the port by then it may never actually leave.

The next ship is the Comet Ace arriving at Grimsby on 17th Nov.

Cheers, well in theory mine is supposed to be gone by then, but then it was supposed to be gone on the 18th October, 21st October, 4th November, 8th November, so I doubt it actually will.

I've given up unfortunately now. Mine's slipped again to build week 7 which is quarter 2 of 2020. My guy at LO mentioned there was a few cancellations coming in Jan with some extras I hadn't ordered but when I went to secure one they were gone. Only other options with LO now appear to be a white Lux supposedly arriving in Jan and a non-lux ST which is in stock (that I don't fancy). I've taken that Jan date with a huge pinch of salt based on everyone's experience on here and with Brexit looming I can't be arsed with more issues.

I had tried to change my order to a Golf R over a week ago now but it seems that the funder LO use have been slow / unable so far to change my order over. Not sure why this process is taking so long...

LO have been polite and friendly but I'm getting the impression they're under pressure as things seem to move really slowly with them. When I ordered my wife's Qashqai from KGVS it was a seamless experience from start to finish. The Golf deal I've secured with KGVS is actually dead reasonable also - and in stock - so I'm off there instead.

Good luck everyone with your orders! There's likely going to be an Emocion Red Lux available for March / April / Who knows delivery if anyone wants it!

Can't speak for other peoples experiences, so far with Forces cars, I have only contacted them once about a week or so ago. THey confirmed my build date is week ending 8th December and to exepct delivery in January.

I havent felt the need to contact them further but they did say the build week may come forward. With other peoples being pushed back I am not so sure about that, or if it is just LO giving people grief.

No updates on anyones cars??

Ordered a standard MY2020 Mystery Blue through Nationwide on the 10th of October - I've had two emails since saying the estimated build week is this week (11/11/2019) with an estimated delivery mid December, which seemed believable... Then I found this forum
