Debating whether do get alloys powered coated or calipers Painted first. Currently silver alloys with grey stock calipers on 2016 Leon FR. Want to start doing some basic changes on it. Eventually change/add some exhaust tips too. Watched a few videos on YouTube, do the tips clip on or screw on? Seen a video where someone just literally clips them on their stock exhaust and it’s as simple as that.

I checked under the bonnet of my daughter's May 2019 Leon Cupra - and discovered "Mit Silikat" printed onto the engine coolant reservoir - that could become annoying in the future!

Does anyone know if VW Group ever intend to improve/change the G13 coolant additive so that these bags of silicate don't need to be fitted to new cars?

Thinking about ordering a screen protector for the 8" media screen, anyone has one and can comment?

Would probably go for a tempered glass one if so, has one on my phone and it is brilliant.
Sorry for the late reply, seems this thread got lost in my notifications some time ago.

This is what I bought...

Screen can be a bit funny at times when scrolling, but that’s usually music so I normally use CarPlay as you don’t need to swipe on it

The copper PPF cars are using an improved version of the G12 now.

Yes but that is just G13, which my daughter's May19 Cupra has and Norberts later 19 Cupra has - in fact all new VW Group cars from maybe 2014ish onwards will have G13 with no sign of any changes having being made to that yet - as in the previous version of engine coolant conc started as G12 moved onto G12+ and then again moved onto G12++ before being replaced with G13.

So if I'm reading this right... it went G11, G12, G12+, G12++, G13, G12EVO?

Bother!!!! Now the next time my daughter turns up here I'll need to check what coolant is quoted on the reservoir body - or will VW Group have managed to get that bit right?

Well considering they forgot to change the part number in the manual but did change it to say G12Evo, probably not.

So, once again, you should use coolant that conforms with TL - VW774J - which is exactly what G13 and G12 EVO are - but they are different and one should never be used to top up the other???

Still no mention of these silicate in bags though - for early 2019 or late 2019 cars/handbooks, and no mention of a time limit of any VW Group coolants, in my time as a VW Group car owner, ie since mid 2000, the engine coolant is for life, though with engines that have cam belts that is just academic as coolant tends to get replaced when the belts get replaced - now that more cars have chains and no service replacement period quoted for these newer/better belts, cars will be running longer with the original coolant in them. Even Fords back in the '80s used long life coolant although I did tend to replace it at about 8 years.

Edit:- this was being written while you posted Damo H!

Another Edit:- seems like some VW Group owner's handbooks quoted the same coolant spec for G13 and G12evo when in fact the VW Group spec for G12evo is TL - VW 774LJ !

Couple of weeks ago I posted about my dynamic indicators

Finally uploaded the brief vid :)

Nice, do you plan on doing this to the rear?

I intend to purchase the dynamic mirrors but wasn't sure if it looks odd without the back done too.
