Hi I have had my rear springs replaced by a local garage. The car now is sitting down at the back end is there a different spring for the freetrack the garage says not

If they are the same what makes the freetrack & XL sit higher

There are essentially two different rear spring lengths used in Alteas - around 315-320mm and 355-360mm. Lots of choice out there and also specific vehicle dependent (eg 1.9 or 2.0 TDi or TFSi). All much the same price in essence and cheap to change on the Altea as well - see You Tube for how easy it is so make sure garage charge is reasonable....

I ended up going genuine part through TPS, 3 failed attempts with GSF, Euros and Autodoc to get the correct springs
