You will fall so in love with this car - I't will shake you!

Just driven it at 130 MPH, with so much power left, but not much road! Its like being on a rollercoaster, but having the control! Oh Woooooo!

I love my Cupra R to bits, second on my list after my wife!

The car is so cool - I am totally in love with it! So if you thinking of getting one - well its worth every penny in terms of the goose pimples you get and the satisfaction, smile on your face - WOW - SEAT, WOW!

I can completely agree with you mark, this car is more than i ever imagined it to be.

Direct streering, bags of gut wrenching power,

refined yet a wolf in sheeps clothing..

Happy motoring mark.....You wait till you start modding it, it just gets better

130mph!!! On the Brad bypass par chance! (Sorry all, it’s a local road)

I had a go down there against a TT last summer, got to about as flat out as I could, and then suddenly asked myself 'what the hell am I doing!'

Good effort though

Yep Mike - that's the road! I took my mates Audi TT (06 plate 190BHP) a few weeks back down the same road - that was 130 MPH also, but I still had lots of power under my right foot in the Cupra! What an experience. Just had to watch out for cars, incase they would pull out into the right hand lane, not expecting the speed! I loved it so much much!! I should have more sence at age 41! Sorry!:(

PS. All this came about after a chat in work today with a guy I work with called Steve, he owns a Scooby producing over 300 BHP (Really hyped-up thing) - He was chatting and told me how please he was to get the doo up 135 on a track - oh God am I going through a mid life crisis!

He also told me that on the track re-mapped LCRs would hit the crap out of him - maybe he cant drive that well :)

I've gone from a 1.4 75bhp car to a LCR and the first time I test drove one it was 30mph all the way, an uneventful and rather bland ride. Then after going with my gut and getting one I test drove it again and when I did the guy whom I went with said "your serious about getting this...I know". He then told me to 'boot it' and after coming off a roundabout, lining it up and him telling me to hit the pedal to the floor I was shocked. He even told me to redline it (if only all dealerships were like this!) and after 110 I came to the conclusion this was the car I wanted and desired. I had to have it and after returning to the showroom put down the deposit and at the moment awaiting the checks and tax to be done before picking it up. :big cheesy grin from ear to ear:

Umm, 110 on a test drive, which country was that in :)

130mph like a rollercoster ride but being in control, what sort of contol would that be then, unless you are an advanced driver.

Just kidding, but I would think you should post with a disclaimer about where you did these speeds

Had a simlar experience when test driving my LCR. Arrived with a 100bph VW Polo, left a week later with a 225 LCR.

Most fun out has been against a Boxter :drive1: Like to think he topped out at 130, probably just bottled it though. Gutting really, I was still in 5th  ( on a private road of corse )

130? In your defence....

I would like to *cough* say that this was of course on a track or when you were visiting a singing mate in Essex who has his own race track and collection of fast cars and silly hats perhaps? Or that on questioning you accidently said 130MPH when you meant KMH.

be careful bout speeds these are probably watched!!
By who? The Police? They couldn't give a **** mate; they've got far better things to do than watch a forum. I know, my best mate is a copper, and he doesn't care (unless he's in his Police Patrol vehicle and sees you driving like that!). In fact, he was at my house yesterday on route to France & Spain on his Blade... so he himself likes speed :D And I took him out in my standard LC, got it to a ton pretty dam quick, and he loved it.

I've been driving for 3 years.....drove a few fast cars, but my last one was a 1.0 mk2 ibiza, went to my local dealer to look for a mk3 cupra just noseying......ended up test driving a 1.8t FR ibiza.....signed the next day for a brand new 06 :D

never looked back, not had it over 70-80 though.......only done a few miles.....
