I must say, I'm flattered and highly amused by your comments. Cheers for that. Not just because of the recognition, but by the ease of the return-fire that is about to occur...
Some of these type of comments are... shall we say, completely stereo-typical of the type of car owner I was kinda having a dig at. I've been justified without having to say a thing. But I'm not leaving it there, the fun is, as you may be able to guess, in the demolition.
And just to be clear, had the LCR owner not driven massively more w@nkerish than me - I mean afterall all I did was wave and put my foot down. He didn't HAVE to try and stay with me - then I wouldn't have written such a well deserved and condescending

As some of you only seem to be reading what you want, rather than what was actually typed, I didn't do any intimidating other than give the guy a goodbye wave. I guess that is enough for some animal hooligan types, however. His ego couldn't handle this, as I knew he wouldn't simply by the car he was driving. (anyone spotting the incredibly easy-to-read circular logic here?) He was the one undertaking and cutting up the traffic to get far too close to my backside. I didn't do any of this. Yet as most of you have just reconfirmed, in true VAG owner style, he seemed to think "how dare this Fiat owner treat me with such disrespect. I DRIVE AN AUDI! Er.., No VW... ah no, it's a SEAT! But HOW DARE HE?!)" I have news, in the REAL world respect can only be earned, and it doesn't come by flashing off your underfilled I-wannabe-in-your-classist-VAG-gang wallet.

I mean, this is easy. The examples you give just go on and on. The Focus ST guy was up for it. So I'm a lunatic for following? What about him? Is he ok because he's in a Focus? There are a great deal of cars I have respect for and of course there's always something bigger and better. It's just not the case with a LCR, is it? Having borrowed and test-driven various
mk1 Leon's (though not a LCR as this was before it's time), I could categorically state that my next co. car was not going to be a 20VT or any other Leon! In fact I chose an Octavia vRS, as it felt all-round "better" (let me guess, you're feeling even more insulted now that I say a Skoda is better than a SEAT. This is against VAG branding! How DARE I?!). The vRS felt faster than the 180bhp 20VT Leon*, smoother, nicer seats, a workable TCS system and even an interior that appeared "thought-out" as if the car was going to sell by more than just it's
badge or reputation...
I'm going to treat that comment as tongue-in-cheek. No-one could surely be that stupid to post this and mean it?! In short and to reconfirm: He was trying. He was cutting up and undertaking traffic to get close to me, which I was letting him of course, thinking of his impending mincing. He did nearly cause an accident at the last roundabout. I know, criminal isn't it? That this LCR guy with 2 kids in the car was prepared to do much more than 110mph after my balanced ego was able to let him go due to the danger issues.
It's the way he kept going, well past a safe braking zone, not to be beaten by a Fiat, that made me tut, roll my eyes and report it on a forum. Exactly what I expected. But you're right, I so wished he was going to remove himself and his offspring for the human gene-pool. I was giving him so much room for his win or die braking, I wouldn't have even been a witness let alone implicated. Another retarded gene wiped out for at least 2 generations, maybe even for good. Nah. I only use my car to it's strengths. It's called intelligent driving. This means, largely, in straight lines and making a unique sound on the way. The said LCR driver probably didn't have the intelligence to drive to his cars strengths, which I guess would've been through the roundabouts. Don't care much for anything else. My ego can handle this. I'd use one of my other cars for a track blast... in fact I'd much rather do that in a proper racing car. Care for a challenge? Or is your manlyness all pretend wallet and no substance?
The fact that most of you seem to be in denial makes all this an absolute joy to read, so thanks for that. Nothing beats the stupid in creating endless cheap entertainment. And it makes spanking such owners the utter joy of owning a Fait Coupe. No-one expects a Fiat to keep up, let alone go past.
I'm sure you'll all be disappointed to hear that I've been driving for 14 years and never had a point on my license. I put it down to wit, and general speed and clarity of thought. The same kinda trait that stops you buying a rebranded de-spec'd Audi.
For further info, yes I used to work for VAG. I was based in their head office in MK. I know how they work. I know how they think. I know how they sell cars. I know what they think of the public and their customers. The best word to sum up their marketing strategy would be that they think, nay know, that you're all suckers. It is the nature of the system you live in that makes sure you're a sucker. It requires you to be a sucker. You're engineered to be a wannabe classist homo-superior(not). Anyone who buys say... a LCR, cannot be seen as anything else. I mean, you're trying to tell me you bought it for it's looks, speed, reliability or handling? lol I have news: There won't be many people on the road who look at your cars with respect. Only other suckers and those not yet educated enough to know what being a sucker is all about.

Sorry, not me. Doing that any anywhere but Santa Pod is a bit sad, not to mention a waste of tyres. There's not enough VAG owners to p!ss off in NH. Inspected, reviewed or evalutated a Fiat? I suspect not, yet you seem to be an expert. Should any of you be burned off by a lowly Fiat sometime in the future and find it reported on a forum, it's not because they're making up a story, it's because it probably really happened... It may even be that they burned you off because they knew they could, they knew it would be fun and they knew you would hate it.
And if a little red message pops up in the rear window that is kinda insulting and condescending toward you and your choice of car, then you know it was me! The real bummer is, I'll be long gone before you can lay a homonally enraged Neanderthal finger on me.
