fr150 towbar

Hi all

Need help total confused ive spoke to different garages and so called towing specialists but no one seems to know.

Can you buy detachable towbar for a leon fr150 tdi ?

Because the fr has the same kit ie bumper as the cupra im been told different answers from garages

Has anyone fitted one to an fr150,do they do one and if so have you any pics

Any help cheers

I had a brinks detachable fitted to my Cupra tdi and yes its the same as the FR

They have to cut a hole in the bumper but there is a black plastic cover you can get as a SEAT part..it is however designed for the non Cupra rear bumper...however allthough not body coloured it is so low it doesn't bother me.

Sorry it was done two years ago when the car was brand new so i don't have the paperwork anymore.

The blanking plate I bought from a seat garage and the brinks kit has a template with it so the plate will fit

I just went to a local (Yorkshire) towbar fitting place and they sourced the brinks detatchable towbar for me...
I think off the top of my head it was around £300 fitted but as I say thats off the top of my head.so could be wrong.
The blanking plate your seat dealer should be able to find on his system for you..its for a std bumper though not a cupra one but I just fudged by with it.
Sorry my info is crap but I know obviously the stuff is out there because I have had it fitted...just need to pester some people who know what they are talking about..

ive seen one also on a leon fr tdi with that same black cover looks ok and can coclour code it and it wont stand out that much either!

I had a brink detachable fitted (while you wait) by towequipe in Nuneaton, cost £299. Like Mark it was two years ago.
Brink Type no 401200
