EBC are making LCR disks!

yea phil, iv seen a few brake manufactures quote for a LCR assuming its the same size as the cupra! :doh:

I wouldn't touch EBC with a barge pole after the last 2 cars I had their discs on warped after a couple of thousand miles.

im not a fan either... i had green stuff pads on an old car and they were utter useless! OEM were far better!


and like you mallett i have heard of countless ppl who have had the turbo groved discs warp on them! :(

be worth checking that they've done it in teh right size - not forgetting that in every country bar the UK, std fitment on LCR's was 312mm brakes

true mark, but companies should still do their homework and not assume things!


IMHO its not because of the fact that in other countries its 312mm i think its more of; oh the cupra is 312mm so the cupra R must be 312mm as well! :doh: :rolleyes:



bit like FK's mistake in assuming the cupra and cupra R front suspension where both the same... where as the LCR like the TT has thrust links!

But by offering 312's they did do their homework.

How pissed would you be if you lived in France & got brake discs that were specifically for your car, but an inch too big :)

Seriously guys, avoid the turbogroove ones. I work in the trade and know of so many customers with warped discs.
