Another quick question.....

Petrol.... Optimax now renamed V-Power... does it really improve performance over the standard stuff????

Put a tank load in this morning and OMG the car drives better! or is this all in my mind????

It does drive alot better.

Optimax hasnt just been re-named. Its suposedly Improved. Just hope it doesnt degrade as quickly.

Ita gonna make a difference, its 99 ron instead of 95. But it will take a few tanks of fuel for your car to make the most of it.

Basically Optimax was 98RON and now Vpower is 99RON. I'm using it on mine and it starts better, idles better and pulls better mid range. Sometimes product adverts can be a placebo but this is genuine good stuff:clap:

Yeah, its bloody expensive that much is ture! Was the only fuel left in the Shell station this morning and I needed to fill up! So got it by default really... but gets the thumbs up.

Used to always put Optimax in the Ibiza and it did improve the engine and running life.

Hummm Tesco 98 might be worth a look.

What are people paying out of interest? The V Power stuff at my local is 98.9....normal is 92.9!

v power is deffo better. Less timing pull than on optimax. Set timing to 9 now on Revo stage 2 software. Only pulling occasional 5's on CF

I've put £40 worth of V Power in mine since it came out. Seems to be running very well with it, definitley seems to pick up a little better.

I was always runing it on Optimax before so I think the difference is less noticeable.

Wonder how many 99RON specific maps will be about now?

I went to the Shell station late last week to fill up on Optimax and found out it has been changed so filled up with v-power.

2 hours later my car was spluttering and the next day my MAF was dead. [:@]

Not blaming the fuel though, my life is full of coincidences. I shall still be using it.

Well at my local...Optimax last week was 1.06 The new V power is now 1.04....

But a few miles away, its more respectable... V-power 99p....It would be nice to get more gallons than Pounds again. :(

Also, i heard somewhwere that apparently...Most shell stations have been serving V-power for a few weeks...and havnt changed the stickers...Bassicaly using us as guine pigs....How much truth there is to that i dont know.

I've used nothing but optimax since my cupra was new (04 plate) have put in a single tank of V-power since the change and I too noticed the difference, engine sounds and feels far smoother, pickup from low to mid revs again much better and the car feels like it has more torque.

Would def. recommend V-Power!!!
