thought i'd share with all you altea peeps

Just been out for a blast in the wifes altea for the first time in 3 months (my london bangercar is golf gti) and bloody hell it really flies, more so than normal, must be the cold air.

plant the foot and whoooosh car lights disappear into a tiny speckle in the anti dazzle mirror. Tdi + DSG= :D :D :D :D :D :D :D.

Any ideas why, when my wife drives it, it never seems that fast:confused:

Well the DSG is a treat and you can out perform most drivers that don't have a DSG at lights and roundabout but no good trying to go for the same space on a motorway when the other drivers got a DSG, best to ease of the power [got caught out by a Touran once]. The only time I put mine in manual is when going down a long hill in Trier in Germany when the trafic requires you to crawl for a mile downhill and hanging it in low helps.
