Well, after 4 years of trusty service and 133K on the clock the 20V V5 is being put into retirement (well for me anyway). I will truly miss the V5 engine, it really is a class act :(

Still, driving away from the old girl in a 55 Audi A4 S-Line will propably ease my pain :funk:

2K trade in with Audi - which TBH is more than I reckoned on.

For the fact lovers :

New Coilpacks @50K (1 failed all 5 replaced)
New timing chain cover gasket (slight leak) @60K
New MAF @ 66K
New windscreen base mechanism (siezed) @ 95K
New Front Shocks and mounts 110K
New rear dics and pads @ 110K
Exhaust centre section bracket weld repair @ 110K

Still on original front discs and pads :D

I hope she ends up somewhere good as I reckon with a bit of TLC she could easily cover another 133K or more no worries.

Nice one 20V V5 !

Stu.

Sorry to see you go Stubill. Just for the record, was anything on the carc giving cause for concern or was it in rude health at 133k?

Stu,

That's really not a bad list or repairs and replacements given the mileage you've done (and how the V5 is often criticised for it's reliability). My MAF went just a few K before yours, but how you're still on original front pads I don't know!

Hope you enjoy the new motor.
