I've been going around in an FR 56 plate (not me driving and no mods) and I've haven't noticed any serious body roll. In fact it seems to be quite good.

strut brace - dont tell insurance and dont crash and or get crashed into simple but with a strut brace if you get crashed into one side it may **** your other side up, or so a bloke said in the pub is this true ?

LOL Dont beleive everything blokes in pubs tell you

I think the only damage it may cause is if you crash at high speed and buckle the chassis. In which case I think the least of your worries would be messing up your other side. As your car will probably all be mashed up anyways.

If anyone has any conclusive evidence otherwise please feel free to put me in my place ;)

zippy, go get a test drive in another Beezer to see if yours has a fault. From my experience they don't roll 'that' much. You can buy a rear anti roll bar from Jabbasport for about 200 quid. This modification is what nearly all the seriously tuned Fabia vRSs use and is just as applicable to the Ibiza. It will tighten up the rear of the car no end and have a knock on effect in reducing understeer too.

They're far from great handlers, i would say the handling on a mk4 is just mediocre, but nothing worht writing home about.

yeah might see if someone will take me out in one on sunday! This came about with me pushing to keep up with a porshe gt3 back from litchfield and at 80 into bends it seems to roll and then sway making it seriously hard to make progress. On braking mine seems to rolls about and stack its wait on the front axles (more than it should almost spinning)

In a word it feels like it is on tip toes through corners.

How can an anti roll bar have a fault.

you reccon factory fit? (surly arnold clark who supplied the car would say otherwise! Right day one when my car was brand new it was delivered by trailer and the rear end rolled off the trailer without a ramp [:@] Now i work on peugeots for a living and if anything was broken at the back ud know bout it. I had little knowledge about seats so could it have a crack etc but not be overly noticable?

Sounds like your motors got some issues, as my lowly 1.4 sports doesnt seem to have any issues about roll really, and my car gets a real good kicking from time to time. Get it checked out and keep us updated!
