Unfortunatly im gonna need some new rubber. All four tyres this time

Seen a set of Toyo Proxes T1-R V tyres on ebay for £180 (NEW) which seems pretty cheep to me as i used to be a tyre fitter back in the day.

Was just wondering if anyones had experience with these or which other brands you could recommend.

Cheers :)

prada's are good. Seem very soft though, my front one's have managed to last me 3 months! i found them to be better than the toyo's i had on there

yeh, depends what you want - if you want performance then something like prada's but dont expect them to last for too long, but if you want general tyres that they will last longer dont expect them to be as grippy, its one of those things.

They were the first set of tyres i put on the fronts and i found them very grippy but as you are all saying they dont last long at all. About 4 months for me :(

I have Continental Contact Sports at the minute which **** that bad. Ive just heard that toyo's are pretty good.

Cheers for the advice lads

used top work in tyre trade myself. im running yoko s-drives 195/40/17 went for them so they would be a little bit more strched so i could lower it that bit more. and hell do they grip. i know il be sticking with yoko's. even if i go upto 205/40/17 and go for parada's.. eagle F1's (gsd3's) r a really good all round tyre but as ** got company car the cupra doesnt get used all to often so can afford to use some sticky rubber and not worry about miles etc..

you can get T1-Rs in 195/45/16 for 45quid each from mytyres.co.uk

had them previously, lasted 12 months in total (rotated after 6), roughly 9k miles including 3x 1/4 mile sessions, changed to T1-Ss in same size back in Feb, £240 fitted from blackcircles.co.uk using their approved fitter cos it was 5mins away. they were 50quid each unfitted i think

prefer T1-S over T1-R but only just. feel alot more grip when pushing the car however I think they will wear slightly quicker.
