You dont need the secondary air injection system. Alot cheaper to remove it and declutter the engine bay than pay silly amounts just for the unit and then to fit it.

how do you bypass it so it doesnt come up with an error on the dash / VAG?....why is it there if you dont need it? sounds stupid to me :)

defo sounds like the water pump round the turbo-when mine went it was makin the strangest noises as i left the car:D

got new one from gsf- i think about 45 quid.

bit of a pain to fit cos of where it is (they coud have used a captive nut but NO!) but i coated the old one in fairy liquid and tapped it out then coated the new one before tightening it back up;)

job jobbed!

Search and you'll see the removing secondary air injection system thread which explains it all. You don't need it. Seat didnt not get everything right with these cars. All you need is a blanking plate and 330 ohm resistor.

If its so stupid then why do alot of people that have problems with it remove it and why have people at two vag specialists recommended I remove mine.
