To put this thread back on track - I've found Emmer Green to be really good as it happens. There's been an intermittent fault with my car so it's had to go in a few times for them to get to the bottom of it but I don't think anyone else could have sorted it sooner (especially not other nearby dealers).

The main bonus is that the people (?Barry) in the service dept do seem to know what they're doing and they try hard keep you informed of what's going on - which is a big failing for a lot of places.

Well done,

Jon

They got a new parts guy early in the year who had a habit of ordering parts in but not telling the customers when they arrived. Its likely your parts were sat on the shelf those 4 weeks and forgotten

to keep with my support for emergreen over newbury, i ordered a side skirt jacking point cover and a front bumper tow eye cover from newbury to give them another chance. its taken 4 weeks to get the parts through.

From emergreen i ordered a Bonet, bumper, front light, fog light, grille, badge, thermostat and s a few other smaller bits in one go after a crash. got the lot in 2 days!

figure that one out. will definatly NOT be going to newbury SEAT EVER again!!!!!

Hi All, as a new member to SCN and a proud new LCR owner I am going to order a couple of bit's from them and as this is my first dealing with Emergreen I will feedback and let you know my thought's. I have always used Audi Dealerships in the past and found them very helpful and the service was excellent albeit expensive.

Newbury and Emmer Green are I believe run by the same franchise.
Have avoided Emmer Green like the plague after seeing feedback on here, and will not be going to Newbury again if I can help it. Had my last warranty work done by them, 4 attempts to fix a seatbelt was an absolute joke and they didnt seem to be too interested in getting it resolved until I was hopping mad. If you can travel a bit get to Camberley, had two services done by them and can honestly say best service I've ever had on any of my cars, cannot recommend them enough.
Still undecided if I'll go with them for my next service though, now its out of warranty may go independent specialist route to save £££s.

I agree now with the hopping mad things. Took me 5 attempts to get my MAF sensor fixed. Plus having to tow the car there every time because they don't have a recovery lorry. And they didn't even realise for the first 4 gos until i suggested that it might be the MAF sensor. The bloke at the dealership was like oh yeah common problem....So i started shouting at him about towing it from reading etc etc and he ended up giving the work free and refunding me £50 off the last time it went in.(which cost £75 and they didn't even do anything, just look at it!!) so did alright in the end and they fixed the car but it took alot of hassle and they only pulled their fingers out when i got angry. Plus on one of the days they instructed me that the car MUST be there by 9 a.m so I took it there walked into newbury and did a few things then came back around 1p.m expecting some sort of result and the car hadn't even moved. Now own a 1990 Golf GTi Cabriolet aswell and although i love the seat i won't drive it so that it doesn't have to go to the garage.

Well guys, ordered my parts a few days ago and the guy at the parts desk said he would call me if there are any problems and if I don't hear anything to assume that my parts are ready for collection on Friday around 12pm.

I drove down and picked up my touch-up pen and a new LCR front lip spolier as mine could do with being replaced for the sake of £17.

All in all very good so far but that's only the part's department on a very simple order. I have yet to use a dealership for servicing but am slightly sceptical about using Newbury Seat and would most likley use Reading Seat where I got my parts from in Emmer Green.
