I paid £190 for the LCR last year... I believe it's gone up since though.

Try a search... I'm sure there are a few threads about car tax.

But by having that turbo means it emits more Co2, therefore putting it in the higher tax bracket.

But yeah, £205 is bang out of order !!

Be thankful though, the revised tax prices means Mazda RX-8 drivers get the whopping £300 price !!

Not to be too picky or anything but this year tax went up by 8%, next year up by another 5%. Have the greedy :censored: not heard of inflation and average pay scale rises!! [:@]

No mike this bloody lot of thieveing g*t's want to rob you of every penny, only wish i could afford to emigrate

The thing that bugs me i however misguidedly thought that the reason car makers put turbos on was to improve the combustion of an engine so why are we being shafted as turboed vehicle drivers for our effieciency... it makes me mad [:@][:@]

Perhaps i'm wrong perhaps it's to boost an otherwise poorly performing engine  i'm sure someone will enlighten us tho'....

Anyone..... please explain why car manufacturers put turbos on is it soley for porformance gains or ????
