leon indicator stalk

hi there.
thought all problems had gone but now reading up on threads that are the same problem as me, i need to get a new indicator stalk. does any one know how much and are there any guides on removing the steering wheel to get to the stalk

not sure about part numbers, but if you find the thread on cruise control and it has a good guide on steering removal and stalk replacement

Not needed as i had cruise fitted a few years back, is in perfect condition.

If you're changing the stalk anyway why not get the cruise one mate, it's simple to fit, the TDI's have almost all the wiring already in place, you just need a small wiring loom piece and the new stalk, very easy mod to do (You will need Vag-com to recode the ECU to enable cruise control/ simple process). Cost me about £60 for the parts IIRC.

Cruise control DOES need to be enabled on the ECU before it will work, you can't just install the cruise stalk and that's it
Taken from Rosstech website:
Enable the ECU for Cruise Control using VAG-COM or similar. Note that this procedure does not require the registered version of VAG-COM :

[Login - 11]
Enter 11463 to activate cruise control

Hi,I know this is an old thread but need to know something regarding the wiper stalk.I have a lc 2001 model,with no onboard computer,I want to know If I buy a wiper stalk with the onboard control on the stalk,will it work on my car and if so what would be needed in order to get the lcd to display the information

From what iv read I don't think its possible to retro fit the trip computer, only the cruise control on the earlier models without the trip as standard.
