Check behind the dash for dampness, there have been a few similar posts where water has got behind, damages the circuit boards and this causes all the dash to stop working.
Reach up behind the pedals and may be able to feel it there, otherwise its remove the lower half of the dash, its not that difficult, again check for posts and there's a good one with photo's showing how to remove it.
Now sorted the instrument panel was faulty so had to buy a new one.
The only down side is that it had to go into the dealers as they have to download the info from the old panel and upload to the new panel. Cost just shy of £300.
