I do believe your correct that they all use the same fuel pump. If not all TFSI at the very least the S3, Cupra and GTi Ed30 all share similar components.

S3 is supposed to have a differing manifold and some possible internal differences compared to the engines used in the Cupra and Ed30. They are on the whole deemed to be identical.

I was told almost 6 months ahead of the Cupra launch by a senior insider at SEAT, that Audi were heavily involved in the engine setup for the Cupra. They claimed that Audi had brought in a specialist team to work alongside the SEAT engineers to setup the Cupra's TFSi engine. Audi are very much at the heart of SEAT management nowadays, the same could not be said 3 or 4 years ago, most of the new senior management in Spain have come directly from within Audi.

Though SEAT have been part of the Audi brand group for some time. It's only in the last 2 years or so, that Audi have taken a firm hand of the brand and are steering it towards being a more sound business.

the owner of the dealer of seat here in venezuela which is a friend of mine told me audi is taking care of seat and is only going to get better from now on which im very happy because im in love with my car and the brand in general

get the autotech fuel pump mod mate. :funk:

Im seriously considering a purchase.

From what I've read regarding the Autotech/Apr pumps, to upgrade using the Autotech kit, you'd need almost clean room conditions to ensure it works, due to the tolerances involved, I'd be very wary of attempting a rebuild of the pump myself, and I only know of a few specialists that might undertake such a rebuild, so costs including labour could make it a close thing price wise... Which is why it's a bit of a dilemma....

There are quite a few people who have done the conversion themselves on briskoda, plus JKM also do supply and fitting.

That makes 3 thinking about the AT pump then.... I am going to enquire who around me would be willing to install it.

I have emailed Revo Kev about the Stage2 code and he said no update just alter the values to take advantage of it.

I heard they are developing a stage 2 + ;)

You are correct that there is Stage2+ code in development, I have personally loaded a few development versions of the code onto the southern 'Test car' recently ! It is looking Very strong, there will be some quick stage 2+ cars about shortly :)

I have the AutoTech pump in my car and have fitted a couple of them for people. My advice would be to not strip down the pump as the instructions say but to simply swap out the internals.

One thing they do omit to mention is that you should put the car at TDC before removing the pump from the car.

If you can get one then I think you will be very pleased.

Hi guys,

These TFSI pumps are a great upgrade, we have some on order with AUTOTECH at the moment, however these are already allocated.

http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/autotech.htm

However, the demand is far exceeding the manufacture at the moment in the states.
If any of you would like an AutoTech TFSI pump, please let me know and you 'should' be able to be added to our order, I will possibly get another for stock regardless.

Kind Regards

Keith

Not sure how this price compared to getting one from the states but then I suppose like most things sources from the US to the UK we end up paying the same £ as it is $'s

Little off the question but on a K3 car, From what I have seen, I dont think that the turbo can flow 'much' more than 285 hp.
The stock injectors would need to be changed to get this level aswell on the K3 cars, as they do max out.

On a K4 car though.... maybe with the correct other hardware :)
