hi folks was considering getting this ibiza and repairing it and getting it back on the road!

planning to get an ibiza anyway :clap:and i thought why not get this one and start of with a damaged canvas that way i can get it the way i want!!

it has damage to the front bumper which is repairable and it needs a new wing and light! there is no other real damage to the car!:doh:

whats your thoughts??

oh that spoiler is going for shiz!! its absolutely horendous!! looks like something u would find at your local tesco! yeh a was thinkin that way but maybe gonna sort out the engine bay first!!

i am new to the seat scene but have read up a bit on them! it is a 2001 with jus over 65,000 on the clock

will it have had a cambelt change an a water pump change or will i need to do that too??

Cambelts are supposedly good for 120k but SEAT recommends changing them at 60k so if it's got FSSH then it should have been done but I'd definitely double check

beauty of it is, too that if its cat D it doesnt need a VIc test.. these arent harsh in any way (my Cat C had one) ...looks pretty straight forward to get sorted

good luck if you go for it :)

I just bought a cat C onvi cupra. In the process of fixing it up (and modding it up!) now. Mine has a slightly crushed drivers side front corner and needs a bit of welding. Mine is an '01 model with 80k and i got plenty of change from 2k!! I'm doing all the work myself (with help from a few mates) so i'm thinking I'll have the cheapest Cupra in the land!! :) And with the mod's, I'm thinking the faster Cupra vs ££ spent in the land too!!

Since buying mine nearly 2 months ago, I've seen plenty of spare panels being sold off so you shouldn't have any problem sourcing that stuff. I'd say if you have a bit of car fixing skill and somewhere dry to keep the car while you're fixing it up, then go for it.

If I was buying this one you're looking at, I think 2.3k would be a good price.

If you buy it, please remove that 'object' from the back and burn it.

the car hasnt got any service history or log book from what im told just remember that if you ever want to sell it on

other than that looks a dead easy repair

If there is not history or log book, i'd personally not touch it. These things are pretty easy to clock, and you will struggle to sell it on once you are done with it. If its cheap and you are planning on running it into the ground, then its a good deal.

I bet the n/s leg will want a pull, front bumper maybe a pair of head lights, front panel, wing, bonet? bumper bar, paint
you need to do you home work before you part with yor cash. get the bit priced up always go main dealer because that way thats the max you will spend.
and you will be very lucky to get any history with it!
