Hey guys been looking through the search part on the forum to find out what coilovers people are going for with no luck as yet:confused:, so excuse me if this has already been a topic.

Im undecided what coilovers to purchase for my mk4 fr tdi:headhurt:, Im not wanting a budget harsh ride quality kit where you feel every little bump but more of a low comfortable but still performance kind of set-up if that makes any sense.

So at the moment its between going for the Eibach pro street kit 35-65mm and the FK Silverline option 30-60mm

What option do you guys feel would be best or are there better kits availible that people are using? Any help would be much appreciated.

Eibach ride is apparently a lot better, the rear of the Eibachs only lowers 25mm though, or so the manual says!

Not really sure about the FKs, maybe someone else can clarify :D

"Mr_Dave the rear of the Eibachs only lowers 25mm though,"

Thanks for the feedback, just checked up on it though and eibach offer a few different kits, The pro kit lowers 30mm at front and 25mm at the rear where-as it would be the pro street s kit i would go for if it was to be eibach which offers a 30/65mm drop.

Just wondering really what people would recommend as a more comfortable ride as I want to purchase them shortly. :)

Let me know guys!:help:

Not true, I have a pro street s kit sat here, the manual claims the max drop on the front is 50mm and 25mm on the rear. At least with the adjuster cups still in place!
Approx adjustment (range* A in mm and inch)
Front:

min: 20mm/0.8 inch
max: 50mm/2 inch

Rear:
min: 0mm/0 inch
max: 25mm/1 inch

Eibachs are meant to be the best comprimise of handling and comfort though.

Model Ibiza IV (6L) Pro-Street-S

1.2, 1.4, 1.4 TDI, 1.9 SDI, 1.9 TDI 02.02 - PSS65-85-008-01-22
PSS66-85-008-01-VA PSS66-85-008-01-HA 955 kg 840 kg Front 35-65 mm Rear 35-65 mm:

Im now clueless on this:shrug: unless this is a different kit im looking at:headhurt:.

So Mr_Dave do you recommend i go for eibach then?

My kit isn't fitted yet, still in the box!

I'd heard that the Eibachs didn't lower enough for some people's liking at the rear, found it amazing given everywhere said 35-65mm.. But yea, Manual (Which is kit-specific) says 25mm.

I've heard good things about Eibachs from everyone who has them, had Konis on my last car (SSK) and loved those though.. I dunno, shame there's no more input but I guess people will just say "do a search" haha

Oh, and that is the right kit you're looking at - that's the part number on my box and manual ;)

too low, have a few issues with my drive at the moment:(.

Thats good its the same kit least i know eibach are providing the wrong info on the net now:lol:

Do u know anyone with the eibachs fitted that could supply pics?

I recently bought the coilovers Koni 1150 with dual regulation and so far so good, in the front I can´t even put them in the max because it becomes too much low.

About eibach, pay attention because Pro-kit isn´t a coilover suspension system.

Regards.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The way the red cupra is sitting in the link
is roughly what im after so think ill defo be going for the pro street s kit.

I see people are talking about adjuster cups what are these:confused:, do u
turn them to effectively lower the car sorry if that sounds daft im not clued up on coilovers. Also
what if you were to take the adjuster cups what difference
would it make to the ride/height?
