sorry, didnt know what section to post this in,,
basiclly what id like to know is would a lcr downpipe fit the tunnel on a mk4 golf with a k04 turbo,
im looking for a off the shelf part to fit on my k04 o23, but want to source from the uk as im getting no joy from the states.
is the lcr tunnel differant to the lc tunnel?
i dont want to get custom as i dont want to trailer my car anywhere, and want to bolt it all up at home.

or does anyone have a picture of a lcr downpipe so i can see the differance in the tt one, or are they the same?

my thinking is hoping they fit as both cars are front wheel drive.
any help appreiciated.

i was told that there is a slight difference between the TT/S3 downpipe and cat compared to the LCR jobby due to the 4WD system. alex from TTS told me that but i could have been mis-informed.

Hi mate

Can you tell me benefits of a 3" DP and High Flow Cat, over stock.

i beleive around 10 bhp and a bit more torque if im not mistaken, 100cell is better,
but thats for another tread.

im looking to find out if any one knows if the lcr downpipe will fit my golf.

the one in the 42 draft picture is a ko4 downpipe made for a mk4, but i now think its only for lhd.

but it doesant matter where the flex is,

anyone got a picture of a lcr downpipe as that apr one is for a s3 i think.?
thanks

I have ordered the VW mk4 1.8T K04 3" Downpipe - Street Series for my LCR, 225bhp, K04 turbo. It has same platform as the MK 4 Golf.
It will fit RHD vehicles without any probs. The cat is 400 cell Magna Flow.

really, thats sounds good then, just out of interest how much in total is it costing you, and do you know what sort of money customs are going to want?

the street series is $500 including delivery, which equates to £252 plus customs duty & vat + royal mail handling fee comes to £65, grand total = £317

There is a 4.5% customs duty & 17.5% VAT, but this is if USPS were doing the delivery, which they are not, its TNT Shipping that are going to deliver, who handle all their customs brokerage in their company so there is no brokerage fee’s, so I shall be ringing them and finding out if there are any customs /VAT fee's payable, to be on safe side.

I will let you know what TNT say. If anything, it will be same as USPS or may even be less.

Powerflow Exhaust are the guys that have agreed to get it set up on my car for £50, they have all the tools to fit a customs exhaust, its what they do every day, plus they have the state of the art machinery. It will require a bit of flange work aswell.

see now you are the first to tell me that, i also thought they were differant for 2wd and 4wd,
i was just concerned at weather it would fit, and i keep being told it does,, but the tt s3 one is differant due to haldex.
id be interested when 225s turns up as that will give a definite answer. if the mk4 golf 404 d/p fits a leon, the leon one will fit the golf :)

No probs, as soon as I get it off, I will let you know, may even put it on ebay with pictures, watch this space.

It will be approx 3 weeks before I get my order, probably looking back end of May.

This is what 42 Draft Design have said about fitment of the Downpipe and Cat, for RHD vehicles, I quote "We have shipped many of these downpipes overseas and we have not had any complaints of it not fitting, we have not been able to test these ourself becuase we do not have access to RHD vehicals, but yes they should fit fine. We ship most of our KO4 downpipes to the UK so I doubt you will have any fitment problems."
