I bought this software of ebay with a lead but cant get it to work, it goes through then before it finishes it says i need a code any idea's?

Why did you buy any VAG-COM software?
The software is free from Ross-Tech. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/

What you need is a Ross-Tech interface which has a user licence included.

Or a licence for a third party (ebay) interface.

At the current exchange rate a licence will only cost you about 50 quid.
So you might want to go for that if the lead (interface) you have works on your car.
